The bookshop was opened in 2009 by retired teachers Melanie and Alan Woollam as a tribute to their son Tom.
Since we have opened we have donated over £150,000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
We also give grants / donations to worthy local causes. Since we opened we have donated £62 000 in this way.
In 2022 as well as giving £10,700 to the CF Trust and we also gave grants to local voluntary organisations that totalled £5,309.
Raising money for Cystic Fibrosis and good local causes
The bookshop would not function without the 50 or so volunteers who help in the shop seven days a week during the shop’s open season.
